1. Say that salt is good
2. Have salt in themselves.
3. Have peace with one another.
CENTRAL TRUTH
Salt is good.
INTRODUCTION Have you tasted food without salt? Would you love to eat more? Definitely No. is there any
taste in the white of an egg? (Job. 6:6).
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS 1. Salt is good. There is no home without a jar of salt in its kitchen.
2. Once salt loses its taste it can no longer be seasoned.
3. You are to have salt in yourself: that is you should have the qualities of salt.
4. Salty children live in peace with one another, they don’t fight either do they
quarrel.
LIFE APPLICATION
By being salty, you will affect lives around you. You will make a difference in the
“Flavour” of
the world you live in, just as salt changes meat’s flavour (Matthew 5:13). You
will also
counteract the moral decay in society, just as salt preserves food from decay.
When you lose
the desire to “salt” the earth with the love and message of God, you will
become useless to Him.
MESSAGE OF SALVATION You can only have salt in yourself, if only you have Jesus in your life. That is be born
again. (John 3:3).
CONCLUSION Salt is good therefore it is good to be salty. You are the salt of the earth. God is the
Salt and Salt is good. You can then be salty if you are godly (Mark 10:18).
INVITATION Jesus can help you to be salty, why don’t you invite Him into your heart today and let Him
help you. Say this prayer after me:
Lord Jesus, I confess and forsake my sins today
Forgive me and wash me in your blood,
Please write my name in the book of life
Thank you Jesus for saving me.
In Jesus Name have I prayed?
